Dice, Linkedin, and Craigslist are all great tools for finding your next opportunity in a more localized and specfied manner.

A great professional networking tool for all levels of work experience. Linkedin boasts over 100 million users and that number is growing daily.
Not only does Linkedin allow you to search locally and statewide but it connects the dots. Let's say you have a great lunch meeting with a new client, you can add a linkedin profile URL to your resume, business card or conversation and then connect to that person/company.
Linkedin also allows individuals to follow companies, create discussion groups and join various local and national networks of likeminded professionals.
While many might raise a nose to Craigslist, it is actually becoming quite popular for recruiters to persue posted resumes and commentary via Craigslist.
Craigslist can be quite broad and filled with some unfortunate spamming but there is a lot of potential for it.
The nice part about Craigslist is there are many forums to join as well that create more potential for job leads.
All in all, there are many new ways to search for open opportunities that go beyond the typical job searching ways of the past.
