One would think Lobby's Burgers has been flying under the radar with all the burger places that have popped up over the years, well it hasn’t with all the accolades it has received. Using Iowa, grass fed beef to make their hand made burgers and a local baker for their buns, Lobby’s is one place that should expand its business as the burgers are awesome.
With 5 burgers on the menu to accompany other Chicago style sandwiches, the Double Bacon Burger ($6.99) is 2 1/3lb. handmade patties, that are thicker than one would expect. Still juicy the burger is served on a toasted sesame seed bun and comes topped with cheddar cheese(.79 extra), crispy iceberg lettuce, red onion and tomato slices, hand cut pickle slices and special house made sauce. This no frills, burger is grilled then steamed and is large in size and in classic burger taste. And for only $6.99 it may make more expensive burgers shake in their buns. Crinkle cut fries are crispy and golden brown and are available as a side for $1.99 or as part of a combo meal. Its strip mall location in Tempe should not deter burger enthusiasts to miss this great burger. If we’re lucky other Lobby’s Burgers will pop up around town. Lobby’s is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Mon-Fri. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat. & 11 a.m. -8 p.m. on Sun. and is located at 3141 S.McClintock Dr. (McClintock & Southern) Tempe 85282 480-897-1113 www.lobbysburgers.com
