On February 28, 2014, the House of Blues in Anaheim hosted to their own Southern Californian Rock band Lit to their 15th Anniversary celebration of the hit album 'A Place in the Sun' to a sold out crowd.
The stage had a double curtain, one more than the usual which meant something special was in store for the crowd. As the main house curtain was finally raised, there was a full stage sized white sheet, where everyone saw silhouettes of the band. As noticeably the singer takes the stage behind the sheet, letter by letter, L I T, get spelled out, underlined, followed by the white sheet being torn down to a room full of confetti spraying everywhere. On top of that, the entire band was all decked out in classic suits in honor of the album's celebration; and of course, to look classy as they always do.
With a room full of screaming fans, everyone was singing along and reminiscing of 1999 when the album's hit singles, 'Miserable,' 'My Own Worst Enemy,' and 'Zip Lock' were performed. During the performance, singer Ajay Popoff was also making references and reminiscing of the "good ol' days" when those times were easier for all of us. Once the album was played in it's entirety, they still performed their other hit singles which included, 'Lipstick and Bruises.'
During their entire performance, everyone felt like they were stuck in a happy time of their adolescence and were left longing for more once the show came to a close.
This coming May, Lit has a ten day UK tour.
