It's always a good idea to develop a lifelong relationship with a gadget that works: let's face it, they're portable and in most cases, highly effective.

I recently told you that I was one of a few bloggers selected to review a LightStim for wrinkles and I have been using it faithfully for the past six weeks just as the manual instructs (a minimum of three minutes, for five days a week).

I initially thought that the gadget would be cumbersome to use (a mix of potions, lotions and endless repetition of holding the gadget up close to your face). LightStim is ridiculously easy to use: a baby could do it. The kit comes with everything you need:

- Goggles to cover your eyes for when you use the device;

- A Power Adapter;

- The LightStim itself and;

- Trial Size Collagen Peptide Serum.

How To Use It

Clean your face every time you use the LightStim. Then plug the unit into the Power Adapter and watch the red, amber and infrared lights go on. Don't stare at it if you can help it--the lights can get Vegas-intense (but that's what the goggles are there for). You don't have to use the goggles...they're only for your comfort should you need to use them.

LightStim is pure light therapy: there's no vibrations to the gadget or anything pulsing. It's light, light and more light, and this is what stimulates collagen production. The red light therapy for collagen production is the basis for LightStim's technology, and the unique thing about the combination of the red, amber and infrared lights is much more effective than just red lights alone.

It is not a laser (with a laser, you'd need far more intense eye care protection and the goggles would be mandatory, not an option), and laser treatments burn some skin off. LightStim doesn't do that. Think of it as your most safe, intense collagen boosting cream, in light form.

After cleansing my face, I plug my unit in, until all the lights come on. Then I make sure I put the serum all over my face, especially on the forehead where I have noticeable wrinkles. Then I take a stopwatch and start the timer for three minutes and place the LightStim on each affected area for three minutes. And then you're done!

The Results

I had no side effects when using the LightStim. My skin was not tender, nor was it itchy or red after use. The wrinkles have also improved considerably in six weeks, and the unit has been far more effective than the topical treatments I have used in the past.

At $249.99 it can be pricey, but there's a money back guarantee and you can try it for only $14.99.
