'Liberty City Stories' takes gamers back to the 'GTA III'-era

PlayStation gamers who need something to be preoccupied with until the release of Grand Theft Auto V should give Liberty City Stories a chance. Originally released for the PlayStation Portable before being ported for PlayStation 2, it is now available for PlayStation 3 using PlayStation Network.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has players take on the role of Toni Cipriani after his return from exile to help the Leone Family rise to become the most powerful crime family in the city.

Liberty City Stories is basically Grand Theft Auto III with an improved gameplay setup. Players will be exploring the same classic Liberty City (with a few minor changes) but with an improved control setup.

Regardless of the the changes in gameplay, Liberty City Stories still feels like the classic GTA III gamers played. The only disappointment is that actor Michael Madsen did not return for the role of Toni Cipriani, but this is an issue that could be easily overlooked.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories gives gamers the nostalgic feeling of playing classic GTA III in the contexts of a new game. This should keep PS3 gamers busy until September 17.
