Today, Lee Brice releases his new single, “I Don’t Dance,” which finds the singer smitten by his partner and playing the reluctant dancer. “I don’t dance,” he admits, “but here I am spinning you round and round in circles.”

The song’s lyric is more about falling in love than floor moves, however, because its character admits, “You’ve got me in the palm of your hand, girl.” This guy, like many other men, confesses dancing just isn’t his style. Yet sometimes when a stubborn wallflower meets the girl of his dreams, he'll do almost anything -- from putting the toilet seat down to even an occasional waltz.

Brice sings this new one over a sparse backing, which moves to a heartbeat rhythm. Sonically, about the only thing country about it is Brice’s drawl-y vocal and some country guitar. In fact, if you listen closely you can hear subtle electronic dance elements also mixed into this mid-tempo track.

Don’t be surprised if this song becomes a wedding reception staple.
