Lazyeyes: 'Lazyeyes' (2013)

The self titled EP by Lazyeyes is in the style of Indie Dream Pop.

Thick and full arrangements centered around of jangly electric guitars and an almost dark surf rock sound that creates a heady and very organic sound.

The track "Wait" takes us into otherworldly dimensions, with a moody yet hopeful feel. Plus the animated music video for this song is incredibly sweet.

While songs are typically upbeat they kind of reminds me in spirit of a slightly darker version of the band Set Sail, a band I reviewed earlier this month... but whereas Set Sail seems to paint dreamy beach scenes, Lazyeyes conjures imagery of cities at night, with similar arrangements.

Lyrically it's kind of hard to make much of anything out, as the vocals are mixed below the bass with lots of reverb.

The self titled EP by Lazyeyes is available for download via their Bandcamp page.
