Law & Order Los Angeles: Another try

After having watched the series premiere episode of Law & Order: Los Angeles, I gave the series an overall thumbs down because of their obvious portrayal of Los Angeles as the celebrity-crazed city. After getting feedback from other viewers telling me to give it another chance, I finally caught another episode of the show last night.

I am in complete shock at what I witnessed. The episode surrounded itself around a pro golfer who was being accused of killing a woman whom his family believed was one of his numerous mistresses. In one scene, the golfer's wife was even beating up the golfer with a golf club. Wait, I'm not finished. It was later revealed that the golfer's son had some sort of issues and even once smashed his dad's car. Sound familiar? This story line was far too similar, in some instances, to the real-life story of pro golfer Tiger Woods.

I found myself in awe of the writer's and executive producer's lack of originality. Could they not have come up with something better or more creative?

I had bashed the acting in the first episode, and the chemistry between the characters, and I will stick to my first opinions. Although the acting of the characters, especially Terrence Howard, wasn't too horrible, there is still no chemistry whatsoever between any of the characters. Also, for some reason I had a gut feeling that Howard should be playing a much higher role than just a DA. I felt like I was watching a documentary. I forced myself to sit through the entire episode hoping for some sort of entertaining factor. I was disappointed when it hit 11 pm and the words "Dick Wolf" appeared on my television screen.

All in all, I don't recommend Law & Order: Los Angeles to any Law & Order fans. If you haven't ever watch L&O, please take a look for yourself. If you aren't expecting much, you won't be too disappointed.
