There are a million mascaras on the market that claim to thicken and extend your lashes to great lengths, but do they? I got my hands on Lashem's Double Trouble Lash Mascara. Lashem is known for their line of all-things eyes, including a liquid eyeliner, eyelash and brow growth serum and even a wrinkle eye cream. Their website says the mascara will "define and smooth lashes without clumps" and is made with "volume boosting fibers, proven to enhance lash growth".
Double Trouble Lash Mascara has two wands, one on each end. The first wand is for volume and is a thick brush. The second wand is long and rubbery and is for lengthening. I did two coats of the volume mascara and three of the lengthening formula.
The verdict? This mascara does do what it says. My lashes looked thicker and longer without any clumping. I got a better effect when I curled my lashes before applying. After 5 coats I was expecting my lashes to look like Charlotte's Web, but they didn't. Double Trouble Lash Mascara is purposely made to come off easily and is great for sensitive eyes. I love "almost impossible" to come off mascara. I'm a huge fan of waterproof mascara and I don't mind the extra steps for removal in the evenings. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't waterproof, but using this product is probably healthier for my lashes.
This mascara only comes in black, so I wouldn't suggest it for ladies with brown lashes. It's under $20 which is a great price for something that actually works. To learn more check out www.lashem.com.
