LangeTwins chardonnay is doubly delicious

LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards’ 2011 chardonnay is priced at a modest $15 but the contents contend much more.

It is a festive and food-friendly wine that represents the family’s commitment to sustainable farming and for sharing with family and friends.

This fifth generation family is stewards of the land and their wines mirror this pride in terroir and characterization of the grape.

The 2011 temperatures in the Clarksburg Appellation created a well-balanced vine. As a result, the chardonnay touts tropical fruit flavors because of the chilly evenings and warm zephyrs in the afternoons. This grapes produced softer yields resulting in intense flavors and amazing quality

Brimming with mango, citrus and pineapple aromas, the first sip paints a virtual picture of an orchard of tart green apples. Another sip is smooth and glides on the palate with yeast and creamy vanilla. Tannins are well balanced and the finish is crisp and bright that foretells of a welcome spring.

Don’t save this great find for a special occasion. This versatile wine can morph from an afternoon sipper or an exciting accompaniment to a candlelit dinner. Pour this slightly chilled opalescent wine with chicken stir fry with ginger, hard cheeses or a baked apple tart with cream.
