La Fiesta Grande has been serving Pasadena residents Mexican food since 1974, a tradition of excellence lasting over thirty-seven years. A family owned restaurant, run by Erasmo Delgado (who has been the owner since 1990), they serve up hot food, cool drinks and family friendly service with a genuine smile.

Their breakfast menu includes huevos (eggs) prepared: rancheros style (sunny side up over a corn tortilla and topped with salsa ranchera) for $8.95; huevos con chorizo (scrambled eggs with Mexican pork sausage) for $8.95; La Fiesta Grande omelette (three egg omelette covered with salsa ranchera and sliced avocado, served with a cheese enchilada on the side) for $10.20, and huevos con machaca (scrambled eggs with shredded beef and sautéed bell peppers, onions and tomatoes) for $11.95.

At lunch they serve the entire menu, offering traditional combos which come with refried beans with cheese, Spanish rice and your choice of one, two or three items: shredded beef or chicken taco; chicken, beef or cheese enchilada; pork tamale; chile relleno, or chicken flauta, with prices ranging from $8.95 to $12.95.

They offer; tostadas (chicken, beef, pork or veggie), fajitas (chicken or beef), carnitas (braised pork served in a flour tortilla shell), or crabmeat in a flour tortilla shell, with prices ranging from $8.95 to $14.95.

They offer a dizzying choice of burritos: vegetarians can order the beans and cheese with rice; The Burrito with your choice of chicken, shredded beef or chile Verde pork; carnitas or carne asada burrito with rice, beans, guacamole and pico de gallo; a chimichanga; the Gigante and the Fantastico, price ranging from $6.95-$12.95.

Dinner begins with appetizers like quesadillas con guacamole, beef or chicken taquitos, nachos or a variety of salads, followed by one of their specialties like New York steak prepared as carne asada, steak picado or carne a la tampiquera. Or you can order these fresh fish or seafood dishes: crabmeat enchilada, Mexican shrimp, red snapper filet, arroz con pollo, enchiladas, chile verde or their outstanding soft tacos al carbon, with prices ranging from $9.95 to $16.95.

La Fiesta Grande has two locations; 624 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA. 91101, tel# 626-795-5577 or 1107 Mission Street, South Pasadena, CA 91130, tel# 626-441-6217. Their operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am to 9pm, Friday through Saturday, 9am-10pm and Sunday 9am-9pm. Their cantina/ bar offers a flatscreen TV, so you can keep up with all your sporting events.
