La Cava del Tequila is a hidden gem located in the Mexico pavilion of Epcot’s world showcase in Orlando, Florida. It is open daily from noon until 9:00 p.m. La Cava del Tequila first opened its doors in 2009. At first glance from the entrance guests can view a bar with bar stools and many patrons ordering their favorite tequila drinks. Guests that venture further into the cozy restaurant discover tables and chairs that will seat about 30 guests.
After being seated guests can select from over 100 drink varieties including straight shots of tequila, uniquely flavored margaritas and more to tantalize their taste buds. Children are welcome here too and can choose a soda or a non-alcoholic piñata, which is a smoothie consisting of strawberry and coconut pina colada flavors. Guests may also order chips and salsa or other tapas including fresh made guacamole that will compliment their drink choices.
Margaritas and other alcoholic drinks start at about nine dollars and up. La Cava del Tequila has both a Facebook page and a Twitter account. The Twitter account offers specials for its followers. In the past their Twitter account has offered free chips and salsa to anyone that shows their sever or their bartender that they follow La Cava del Tequila on Twitter.
As Wichitans sit and enjoy their drinks, they also have the opportunity to soak in the Mexican culture and learn more about the history of tequila. All of the art work and décor is authentic to the Mexican heritage and traditions. La Cava del Tequila takes guests away from the hustle and bustle of the parks and transports them into a small authentic Mexican tequila bar.
