L'Occitane's Pivoine Flora makeup features the pretty peony

The collection debuted in May 2011, featuring soft pastel colors, and natural mineral pigments that are suitable for everyone, even those with sensitive skin.  The colors are great for Spring and Summer, and each product includes  peony extract (it helps to soften skin).  The items that are great for travel and work especially well for Spring into Summer are the FaceColor Cream Duo ($16.00), Lipstick available in 4 shades ($15.00) and a very impressive, Lip Shine in four shades ($14.00). 

The FaceColor Cream Duo is a must for bronzing and self-tanning fans. There are three color choices, featuring a matte, blush color and a pearly (minimally pearly) highlighter.Add a bit of the creamy blush that blends right into your skin, then add some highlighter to make it more luminous. My sample in “Arabesque Apricot” (there is also a rose tinted duo), marries a flesh-colored highlighter, with a bright , matte, apricot blush that would flatter a tan, and add life to a pale complexion.

Another favorite is the limited edition L’Occitaine Pivoine Lip Shine in “Ballerina Rose.” It is a peachy sheer, but it is so packed with silky, light-reflecting shimmer that you can actually see it gleaming in the tube (with brush applicator tip). You can use this one alone or use it as an overcoat with a favorite lip product to make it even shinier and shimmery-er. Lip benefits including Vitamins C and E and antioxidant grape seed oil. There is also a L”Occitance Pivoine Lip Shine Rose, Pivoine Lip Shine in Grenadine, and Lip Shine Brown.

For lipstick lovers there are four subtle lipsticks full of luxurious subtle color and shine. Each lovely tube also provides skin loving benefits of Vitamins C and E, plus antioxidant grape seed oil.  The colors are soft, but bold enough to tint lips well. For example,  Pivoine Fuschsia gives lips bright, layerablepink color that can be sheer and soft, or bolder and more intense,  depending upon how much you apply.
