Kino Classics presents 'A Farewell to Arms' Gary Cooper Helen Hayes

This is an amazing Oscar nominated film starring Gary Cooper and Helen Hayes.

For those of you who don't know that film, below is a small synopsis.
 

A tale of the love between ambulance driver Lt. Henry (Gary Cooper) and Nurse Catherine Barkley (Helen Hayes) during World War I. The action takes place in Italy and the two fall in love during the war and will stop at nothing to be together. The film also analyses Lt. Henry's feelings on war and the purpose of fighting.
 

There are several DVDs featuring this film, so why purchase this one? This blu ray DVD is an authorized edition from the estate of David O. Selznick from the collection of George Eastman House. George Eastman was the found of Eastman Kodak.

This is the original film (other DVDs have the version that was done by Warner Brother's when they purchased the film, others have been chopped up with different endings) that runs for 89 minutes.

1932 was the year this film was released by Paramount Studio. Kino Classics DVD was mastered in HD from an original nitrate 35mm print, preserved  by the George Eastman House as mentioned above.

Starring Gary Cooper and Helen Hayes, it was produced by David O. Selznick, (Gone With the Wind), from a novel by Ernest Hemingway.

The specials on the disc are trailers and a gallery of images, both are a treasure trove of the Golden Age of Hollywood.
