There’s nothing as exciting for a gadget person than getting a new toy that can do multiple things. That’s what I found with the Kingston MobileLite Wireless. This lightweight (98g), slim reader enables you to have unlimited access to your favorite movies, music, photos and data straight from your SD and USB storage device. You can connect up to 3 other devices such as your smartphone (iOS or Android) or tablet wherever you are at the same time.
These days no matter what size smartphone you have it’s easy to eat up your internal storage with apps, photos, videos, and music plus other personal data. The MobileLite Wireless expands your smartphone or tablet’s storage space so you never run out.
How will I use it?
Picture this. You have three kids who each want to watch their videos or listen to their music during a plane or road trip. Rather than use up precious internal storage before the flight you have them download the movie, TV shows, music and games they want to use. The beauty of this is you only download one time to a memory stick or SD card.
Next, during the plane ride you whip out your fully charged Kingston MobileLite Wireless device. Then you connect your SD card or USB storage device. Now your 3 kids can seamlessly watch movies or listen to music. All three kids have simultaneous access and can even watch the same movie at the same time. The best part is none of them had to use precious storage on their mobile device.
Create a library of videos, photos, and files and store them on your USB or SD cards for later retrieval. By saving your favorite data from multiple devices via the MobileLite Wireless you can be sure your content is safe from being stolen or accidentally damaged. This is fantastic for folks who use their smartphone for instagram and loads of other photo-related social media apps. I love using my smartphone but can take tons of photos and fill up my iPhone quickly. Now I don't have to worry about it.
Charge your device
The Kingston MobileLite Wireless can also be used to charge your mobile device. You can expect one full charge on your smartphone and about 50% on your tablet. That’s enough to get you through a long trip when you don’t have access to AC power to recharge. What I love most about the devices used as a charger is how lightweight it is. I have a Zagg Sparq charger that weighs in at a hefty 8.6 ounces. That’s like a brick in my handbag compared to MobileLite Wireless.
The cost of the Kingston MobileLite Wireless ranges from $59.99 to $49.99 depending on the site. When you consider that the MobileLite Wireless can charge your device AND also share data between devices this is a great investment compared to a ‘charger-only’ device. If you take lots of photos, view lots of videos and want to minimize the amount of data on your device then the Kingston MobileLite Wireless is a must buy.
