Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigel) has traveled to Nice, France with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Kornfeldt (Tom Selleck and Catherine O'Hara). She has just broken up with her boyfriend and the last thing she wants to do is meet someone. When getting into the elevator, she meets Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher).
The two look at each other, eyes catch, and Spencer asks her out to dinner. She accepts and when they are eating she tells him she is not a spontaneous person. Later that evening, Spencer tells her he is an assassin. What she really doesn't know is that he had been busy just a little bit earlier.
They eventually get married and he has left his job as an assassin. Then Holbrook (Martin Mull) Spencer's old boss tells him he needs to do one more job.
The couple had been planning a trip back to Nice where they first met. Spencer tells his wife that he can't make it and that she should go anyway. Well she doesn't and comes back to the house to find Spencer fighting a friend inside the house. He yells for her to get a gun and she shoots the friend in the arm. They escape and find Holbrook killed in a hotel room.
It's when she is shot at that she finally believes what he's been telling her, that he was an assassin. They find out that there is a bounty out on him and it is now that they feel they must get out of town.
Director Robert Luketic does an excellent job with this story. It is fun and energetic and you will not believe the ending. So sit back and enjoy this film.
