Key ring app can create independence

Apps for cellphones are increasingly popular. Searching for accessible apps is a personal mission. The key ring app is excellent for those with a disability.

The key ring app might not super increase ones independence but it sure helps. By using one app, it's possible to save all your key chain bar codes.

We all have key chains from stores like Giant, Acme, Rite Aid etc. Al these cards can be difficult to carry. By using one app, you can scan them in and have them on your phone all of the time.

When using it for the first time, one might feel apprehensive. But it works!  Pull up the app, select the store, pull up the bar code and ask the cashier to scan it. It is that simple!

How does this key chain app relate to disabilities? Well, fumbling through cards is an added struggle. In seconds, you can pull it up and hand it to the cashier yourself. For many with disabilities, technology has helped in daily life.

In the Philadelphia area, giant and acme stores readily take the app.  Other stores, the staff might be reluctant but ask them to try. It's amazing how one application like the key chain app gains time and independence.
