Keith Urban made a stop here in Florida and we were fortunate to be invited to capture this performance. We traveled to the Midflorida Credit Union Ampitheater, located at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa. His Light the Fuse Tour has sold out more locations on this nation's map than you could place pins on! This is not only a show, this tour is a triple threat of some of the best live country music around.
You may check all tour dates remaining here and there will be yet another return to Melbourne, FL in the end of March so get your tickets while they last! Keith Urban will return to play the Runaway Country Music Fest, March 23, 2014. We have requested approval to cover this three day Country Fest. With how fast these shows sell out you are better off to grab yours as early as possible, almost every show has sold out on this docket!
This show launched with Dustin Lynch taking the stage to open things up and what a show this young man gives his crowd! Laid back in his jeans and pink t-shirt, yes pink, and he looked great in it. Even cowboys wear pink! His live performance is one to catch, as he slated the awards of: Single of the Year, Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video for his single, "Cowboys and Angels". Even though he may be best known for two singles, currently, this show proved this band holds a lot more of a library on a live stage and it is some of the best live country out there! Make sure to keep an eye on Dustin Lynch, this is only the beginning.
"It's a dream come true. I've been dreaming of this moment for over 20 years now," says Lynch. "I moved to Nashville in 2003 to be a songwriter. I'm actually out in the sticks writing songs right now as we as talk. Everything's happening so fast, and I'm all over the country right now. I'm taking every minute I can to sit back and smell the roses as I'm flying by them." -- Dustin Lynch.
Next up was the ever impressive Little Big Town and again what a show! This had to be one of the best live vocal performances this fan has witnessed. This band throws four people with real talent at you non stop, the girls voices are not done justice on any recording. Live is where you catch what Little Big Town packs for a punch and even adding a dash of Fleetwood Mac classics in on this set list was a grand treat indeed. The harmonies of these four are the nearest to perfect I have gotten to take in and it has stayed with me ever since, so thank you! This was the best show at this ampitheater for this fan over the last decade and it only got better.
The crowd was fired up plenty and ready for Mr. Urban to take the stage. His entry was the most nonchalant I have seen any performer pull off, in that the house lights were up and he wondered out with a banjo and that was the start of the Keith Urban extravaganza! After being joined by the remaining band members this show was off and running with crowd energy only matched at a live Metal show! Keith Urban blinks and the crowd pays attention and it's a great thing to take in, as this performer loves his fans and prefers them close to him on a stage. He is a true sharing of his craft and talent.
The stage then comes to full life with five massive screens set behind Keith's band which feature grand close ups of Mr. Urban and band in live action. Add a dash of color and it's all good set to one of the best country soundtracks you could ask for. The show opened with 'Long Hot Summer' and rolled through this artist's library like a well oiled machine. This is an absolutely electric show, so make sure you check out tickets that may still be available for dates near you. This tour packs a triple shot of great music and the finale is the best part!
Keith works his crowd well, and let's face it, it does not take much for this strumming charmer to do that! He joins his fans in the crowd numerous times and gives away an autographed guitar. This is a show you wish would never end, but they all have to and onto the next town or venue. Thank you for the best country show on our docket to date and safe travels to all.
The Light the Fuse Tour is now in the big arena leg of this nation so make sure you visit this site for all dates still scheduled and hopefully we may catch up with this tour early in 2014, in Melbourne. The pleasure would be all ours! Special thanks out to Jessica Poulin and the Keith Urban camp, the Midflorida Union Ampitheater and their media team for the best live country tour this fan has witnessed to date!
