Karma, Inc., good versus bad

Having met all three of the Scott Brothers and watching them as HGTV’s Property Brothers, this short film is very well done and uproariously funny.

Playing the role of good karma is Drew Scott and the casting was perfect as it seems the role was made for him. Always smiling, positive and upbeat, “Michelle” is bright, comical and memorable.

Jonathan Scott, who seems to have a much deeper voice playing the role of bad karma, nails it! Hard to imagine the man who wants to include all your “must haves” into the house of your dreams and Michael are one and the same. The sex scene in the office was hysterical; “I can get you some curtains, Michael.”

Even brother JD Scott made a tiny appearance. We need to see more of him.

It starts out as a man (played by Jamie Switch) loses his life doing a good deed for an elderly lady. He is then transported to Karma, Inc., where he finds out he has to spend the rest of eternity; twenty four hours a day, seven days a week helping manage the karma of the universe. As he is given a tour of the facility, he learns about good karma and bad karma and how no good deed goes unpunished. When something goes wrong and the entire world has to go back thirty minutes, he gets a second chance.

The rest of the cast does a stellar job convincing the viewer of the good and the bad in people.

Highly recommend to those who want to see the Scott Brothers like you’ve never seen them before.
