I don't decide to write reviews on e-commerce websites very often. When I do, it's because I am moved by both the products and the mission of a company. As-in, coming across K.M. Lowry's, a tailored-clothing company that sells sophisticated women and men suits, founded and located in Manchester, England - now, I overtly admit I want to move to the UK just to work for this company because I love their mission to provide an avenue for affordable "occasion-specific" attire for the elitist-type. Or, if for nothing else, I’d relocate to London to at least qualify for the free shipping because my wardrobe is in need of some international-flair-repair, as my current style is “clappin”; as the non-British would say, “out-of-date”.
With an aged history started from humble beginnings, in 1852 – Karl Milton Lowry suits Manchester; establishing English pride and glory with tailoring that signified the growth and success of the industrialization of cotton in England. When the master tailor and entrepreneur passed on his legacy the company continued by referencing his memoir that documented his early life as a struggling tailor’s apprentice, it reads:
LOWRY, YOUNG AND AMBITIOUS, STRUGGLES TO ACCEPT HIS PLACE IN SOCIETY. HE WORKS LONG HOURS WITH LITTLE HOPE OF PROGRESSION. HE NOTES IN HIS MEMOIRS THAT HE REFUSED TO SEE THE WORLD PROGRESS, ADVANCE AND GROW AROUND HIM WITHOUT THE BELIEF THAT HE TOO COULD EMBRACE THE CHANGE AND FLOURISH BEYOND HIS BIRTH.
I am a true believer in the power of knowing where we come from. If a person does not and understand he/her past, then he or she will not be able to define the present or determine future experiences. Thus, having a “Our History” section on a website instead of the typical “About Us” for users who want to understand more than what is on the surface helps to inspire others and give detail to the journey of a dream.
K.M. Lowry and I have something in common. We both have yearned for affluence. We both have envisioned ourselves settled into a place in high-society that affords us access to the possibility of infinite influence and pooled resources. We both believed that life is more than struggle. In all actuality, life is about the determination to overcome financial struggle, for those who know all-too-well the bitterness that struggle leaves upon us. For people like me and K.M. Lowry, exclusive inclusion is a part of the dream that turns into legacy. I don’t know if buying a reasonably price 3-piece suit that makes you look like a million euro or if copping a pair of sexy leggings, topped with a crotchet tunic off this site will make anyone feel more elite, but, I do know if one takes a visit to the online store one will find a treat when seeing the price of luxury in Manchester is attainable. Check out the slideshow of some my favorite hot items off the site and then go check out the prices for yourself.
