Justin Moore's Off The Beaten Path Tour rolled into the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, MD, Friday, February 7th, 2014 in support of his recent album "Off The Beaten Path". They are 3 months into a grueling 57 city tour that started in November 2013 and will windup in April 2014.
Supporting Justin on this tour is Randy Houser and Josh Thompson. Justin told the crowd that he loved touring with his good friends and their main goal in doing this tour was for everybody to leave feeling like they gotten their monies worth. The crowd roaring their approval was confirmation that Justin and company hit their goal. The crowd continued their approval by singing all the songs and staying on their feet for the entire 4 hour concert!
The show pulled from Justins three albums: self titled "Justin Moore" released in 2009; "Outlaws Like Me" released in 2011; and his recent "Off The Beaten Path" released in the fall of 2013. Justin wove a history of songs, playing a blazing 17 plus song set list that included crowd favorites such as "Off The Beaten Path", "Point At You", "Bait A Hook", "Outlaws Like Me", "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away", "Small Town USA", "This Kind Of Town", "Backwoods" and "Lettin' The Night Roll".
There was even a surprise guest Justin brought on stage, David Lee Murphy! Together they sang "Dust On The Bottle" with the crowd helping too. Another special moment was when he described his feelings about the song "Grandpa". He admitted that he hadn't played the song for three years but folks told him how much this song meant to them during his meet and greets. After realizing how much it spoke to people, he added it back into the set lists. At the end of the song, with a single spot light shining down, he tips his hat and bows his head in a solemn tribute to his Grandpa.
The Off The Beaten Path show was a fun, family friendly, impressive production with non-stop music wrapped in a top notch tour. Justin Moore along with his friends Randy and Josh, have started the 2014 concert season with a show that will be hard to top! There are still many cities left for them to visit, so go out and catch a show!
