Josh Parker, Southern Gospel solo guitarist

Last night at Lincoln Christian University, Josh Parker performed some Southern Gospel songs as a solo guitarist which had the audience favoring him with long rounds of applause. He said to this writer that he was going to jazz it up for some of the younger audiences who are just beginning to appreciate Southern Gospel music as a genre in its own right. He played 'Shout to the Lord' and 'These are the days of Elijah,' as solo instrumentals. Well, Jazz it up he did! If you enjoy listening to rock songs played on a solo electric guitar, then this concert was for you.

Josh has been touring with his father, Ivan Parker for about two years now, after graduating from Cumberland University, graduating with a major in Music, with an emphasis in guitar. He is a talented young musician who will be recording his own solo CD sometime this year with an approximate release date sometime during late summer or early autumn.

Josh Parker is a talented musician whose musical career is about to take off as the Lord Jesus Christ launches his career for His Glory. So Southern Gospel enthusiasts...take note.
