On the heels of a successful 2013, Jon Pardi has wasted no time in getting down to business in the new year. The dynamic entertainer played at The Tin Roof in Louisville, Kentucky, on January 18, 2014, wrapping up a tour that celebrated the release of his new album. "Write You A Song," an eleven-track collection, hit stores on January 14 and is already delivering successful results.
"It's awesome; it's pretty cool. It's like no other feeling," Jon Pardi said regarding his album drop. "On top of releasing the album, we're selling out shows."
A crowd formed early at The Tin Roof and remained fully intact until the final notes played. Although Jon's record was released only days ago, fans were already singing along to their favorite songs.
"I haven't stopped listening to his new album; I know all of the words," one excited concert-goer noted.
The energy that the 28-year old demonstrates on his record smoothly translates to his stage show. Fueled by up-tempo numbers like "Empty Beer Cans" and "What I Can't Put Down," the singer has developed a commanding stage presence. Jon Pardi naturally infuses his straightforward lyrics with a fresh, hardcore country sound.
"It's true country music; it's life experiences. It goes good with beer. I am really proud of it," Jon says of his debut record.
Jon certainly has plenty to be proud of these days. He is currently climbing the Billboard country charts with his catchy single, "Up All Night." As he launched into the tune on Saturday, the late night audience gave the tune a roaring approval.
After a slew of shows with Thomas Rhett, Jon Pardi will serve as an opening act for label-mate Dierks Bentley. The "Riser" tour kicks off in May and will also feature hit makers Chris Young and Chase Rice. Those in need of a good country music fix should promptly purchase Jon's new disc and plan to catch the budding superstar's show.
After observing his set one could say, without hesitation, that Jon is definitely at home onstage. His striking confidence and approachability puts him ahead of any new act trying to establish themselves in the country scene. Jon Pardi possesses genuine talent, a strong presence, and he's got plenty of impressive songs for the world to hear. And they're country. Real country.
