Los Angeles CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!! The land of dyed and fried hair, combined with unrealistic weather, hello 80 degrees in "winter," along with unrealistic expectations running the gambit of everything beauty, to personal lives, to materialistic pride.
Enter stage left, Joico K-Pak Liquid Re-constructor for fine/damaged hair. A leave in product that actually works well for fine, dried, damaged, bleached, chemically treated hair.
If you are looking for a leave-in product to use on your hair, after the shower while it's wet, that will leave even the most chemically fried hair soft enough for someone you like to run their fingers through, then look no further.
Joico K-Pack Reconstructor does not leave a build up, and is easily used in combination with other products. For instance, I can use this as my base product after the shower, let it sit on my toweled dry hair, and then apply 3 other hair products, and all play well together.
If you are looking for a weightless formula that has almost no scent, and will help soften your hair, without leaving it a flat greasy crinkly gross mess, then Joico K-Pak Reconstructor is the product for you.
What I love about Joico products, besides their honesty about the pH balance and non-magical claims, is that they are professional grade and do what they claim on the bottle. Joico K-Pal Liquid Reconstructor simply claims that it will repair fine and damaged hair, and it does. After using it for over 1 year, under different climates and circumstances, I can attest that it absolutely does repair damaged hair, leaving the most chemically damaged of hair, both soft and movable. It works great on friz, as well as applied on dry hair to stop fly-aways. For being a reconstructor, this product is fairly versatile.
As always, ONLY purchase products such as these from authorized retailers. Check the Joico website for such places. As purchasing knockoffs and/or old product will do more harm to your hair than good. Joico products work best when they are fresh, not when they've sat on a shelf, or in someones bathroom, for years on end allowing the chemicals to not only separate, but change composition depending on the climate in which they are "stored."
I am able to get things from pro-shops due to being a licensed Esthetician. For those of you who aren't licensed in anything Cosmetology related and are thereby no allowed inside pro-shops, be wary of anything of this caliber being sold at Walmart, as people are known to buy things and then return them saying they didn't use them. However, the reality is, they fill them up with a different product and, being that it's Walmart, the returns department doesn't know the difference between a fake, and the real thing. While some Walmart's will send possibly used beauty products back to the manufacturer, others will just put it back on the shelves, leading to accidentally selling you, the consumer, a fake product.
If you are looking for something to help repair your chemically treated hair, especially before and after a day at the pool, you should give Joico K-Pak Liquid Reconstructor a try. I can not stress enough, with Joico products, you need to make sure what you are purchasing is not only authentic, but authorized. Almost every product in the Joico K-Pak line is stellar, however, when it's old, or a knock off, you do not want to use it, let alone waste your hard earned cash on it.
