Singer Jennifer Nettles has stepped out on her own with her first solo album. After years of being the voice of Sugarland, Jennifer has released her first solo CD with ‘That Girl’. The title tracks hit radio at the end of last year and made the top 20 countdown on country video charts.

The album follows the singer’s heart with the cheating tunes and the heartache in love that Sugarland had addressed in their songs like ‘Stay’ and ‘Keep You’. Jennifer has a voice that can make a listener believe she has lived every song she sings and that is what allows her to step into the spotlight as a solo artist.

This sounds like a very personal album from Jennifer’s divorce, second marriage and the birth of her son the album is filled with a great collection of various feelings and emotions throughout the CD. This album has some wonderful ballads like ‘Falling’ and ‘This One’s For You’. There is also a great tune ‘Jealously’ on the album that shows another side of the singer. Jennifer also covers a rock classic of ‘Like a Rock’ and gives a new twist to the song which works.

Jennifer Nettles will bring her solo show to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on February 20, 2014. The show is sold old but will be a night for the singer to shine in her solo spotlight.
