On Monday, February 11, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., Jeantrix presented their fall 2013 collection ‘Lucid Dreams’, at New York Fashion Week. The venue was filled with guests anticipating to view the new collection. Guests were intrigued by the innovative, stylish, and colorful ready to wear collection presented by Jeantrix in collaboration with photographer Al Rodriguez. The presentation was complete with a video that they created about the collection, ‘Lucid Dreams’ and with delicious cake pops and cupcakes for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
The collection Lucid Dreams, “came from the term ‘Lucid Dreams’, explained Jeantrix at the presentation, “which is basically just a dream in which you become aware that you are dreaming. A lot of people say that life is just a dream, so if life is just a dream then maybe we can control this dream that we call life.”
This collection is amazing, again with bold statements and color, however Jeantrix toned down this collection a bit because this is their “first ready to wear collection.” However, they remain true to their brand as fashion artists as they stated during their presentation “art is our life.” “It was a different process, we had to tone it down a lot…but when you see this collection, you’ll think Jeantrix, because the colors and prints are so vibrant. But we had fun.” said Jeantrix in an interview.
In collaboration with Al Rodriguez, Jeantrix also stated “Al has always been like a brother to us…we’ve worked with him before in magazines and print. We actually worked with Al in L.A. in the dessert and we really got connected with Al visually. It’s only right to merge fashion and photography together, they go hand in hand.” Creatively, visually, and artistically it was a great presentation and collaboration between the two. In an interview, Al Rodriguez stated “I’m really happy with the turnout, happy with the work, happy with the guys…it was ready to wear but still true to their original brand, the corsets, the color, and I think they accomplished that.”
This amazingly vibrant and bold fall 2013 ready to wear collection by Jeantrix, filled with corsets, button ups, leather jackets, and sweatshirts that represent ‘Lucid Dreams’, will be available on their website soon.
