Javanaut closed: Now a vegan cafe

The same intriguing, yellow house still resides within Westport, but now with new owners and a new name. The former Javanut Coffeehouse is now Mud Pie Vegan Bakery and Coffeehouse.

You can still find a comfortable nook where you can lose yourself in a book for an entire afternoon. The baristas are just as friendly as the previous Javanaut baristas and the drinks just as delicious.

Yet, there is one major difference: Mud Pie has only Vegan food and drink on their meni. The coffee menu is smaller than what Javanaut provided, but still has some decent drinks on their list. Mud Pie's default milk is soy; they use soy for all their lattes, mocha's, etc. They also offer cashew milk, soy milk, almond milk, and sunflower milk.

Mud Pie uses Oddly Correct as their roaster. If you visit Mud Pie, ask for Michael. He will be happy to tell you all about Oddly Correct's beans.

The vegan banana cupcakes are tasty, as well.

Mud Pie is the same great place, now with Vegan options.
