Java House serves great coffee and lunch items to Greenwood residents

In the 1990s, coffee received a much needed makeover. Before then most people thought of coffee as a bitter-tasting drink that helped one find the necessary energy to start the day with. All of that changed when a company called Starbucks burst onto the scene. With their hip-looking shops and their unique new coffee beverages known as “lattes” Starbucks transformed coffee into a fashionable beverage that “all of the cool people drank”. It was not long before various cities and towns opened their own versions of this popular chain and began serving their own lattes and mocha’s to the local residents. Folks in Fort Smith have made Sweet Bay Coffee Company the number one coffee shop in the city, and people in Greenwood have done the same with Java House.

Java House is the only coffee shop in the city of Greenwood. Like other coffee shops, Java House serves lattes, mocha’s, Italian Soda and other upscale beverages to a populace who desire to be energized in style. Java House's blend of coffee is pleasing to the senses as well as the taste buds. Java House also offers a decent lunch menu that consists of panini's, salads, sandwiches and soups. While it is not a full menu, it features enough to please almost anybody. The coffee shop itself is small so seating is limited, but it is well worth visiting. For those who are unable to visit because of a heavy work load, Java House offers a business delivery service Wednesday-Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. This service does have a dollar charge for all deliveries, but is perfect for those hump days when no one can leave the office.

Java House is located at 910 West Center Street Greenwood, AR 479-996-9979.
