In a world, where every rapper has their own “catch-noise” (Lil' John’s “Yeah” and Gucci Mane’s “Burr”), Jadakiss has, by far, the most comical and distinctive, which sounds like a “heh-HAAA”. Even though this noise may induce laughter, he is still often heralded as one of the top rappers in the game by fans and other artists alike. Jada's 3rd and most recent studio album, “The Last Kiss”, was released in 2009, and showcased his love of wicked wordplay, mind-melting metaphors, and banging beats. After a two year hiatus, Jadakiss created “I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans)” with a simple goal: thank the fans for simply, being fans.

The Lyrics: “I Love You” proves a record does not have to have intricate metaphors and similes, compounding swag and wordplay, to be great. Most of the lyrics are simple storytellers and Jada just having fun. The one track which stood out lyrically was “Toast To That”, where Fred The Godson showed off his smooth style and wordplay, proving he is a man worth keeping an eye on. Other songs like “Lay Em Down” serve as a reminder of the raw talent Jadakiss possesses.
The Beats: The album has a rollercoaster of beats, ranging from the hard-hitting to mellow-smooth. "Inkredible" can sound amazing when played through a stereo system, accenting the highs and lows woven throughout the beat. “Hold You Down” and “How I Feel” could easily make its way into the clubs, while others, such as “In The Streets”, make great driving music.
Hot Tracks: “Hold You Down”, “Toast To That”.
Overall: 4/5. Jadakiss fans will be excited to hear fresh songs after a two year gap, but it will not convince any newcomers to hop on his bandwagon. Although it has short 33 minute play time, and essentially 9 tracks due to the two intro tracks, Jada proves quality always trumps quantity. “I Love You” serves as a juicy appetizer for his upcoming studio LP, “Top 5, Dead or Alive”.
