Jacque Fresco's 'Venus Project'

A gentle looking man with a great dream for the world's future has graced the world scene. What he has done can be compared to building a modern day "Noah's Ark." He would definitely fits the look and the life style (Biblically speaking) in some ways as the first Noah. He is a Industrial Designer named Jacque Fresco, where Albert Einstein gave us (quantum physics theory) the correct mindset through his universal words, "A human being is a part of the whole, called by us Universe, he is limited in time and space, he considers himself, his thoughts and his feelings, as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness, this delusion is a kind of prison for us, keeping us to our own personal desires, and concerns for a few persons nearest to Us, Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison, by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures, and the whole of nature and it's beauty," this man has laid the groundwork for a bright and connected future for all mankind, by creating a project that will give to the world a viable option or a "plan of action" for social change, one that works towards a peaceful and sustainable global civilization and who has developed the Venus Project. "It outlines an alternative to strive toward where human rights are no longer paper proclamations but a way of life." The lure for so many towards this massive futuristic project smacks of the feeling reminiscent of the "Star Trek" generation and the dreams and conventions of the Trekies.

Jacque Fresco has come up with a plan to create a scarcity solution. The "Paradise or Oblivion," by "The Venus Project," introduces the viewer to a more appropriate value system that would be required to enable this caring and holistic approach to benefit human civilization. This alternative surpasses the need for a monetary-based, controlled, and scarcity-oriented environment, which we find ourselves in today."

Through his years of tireless and ingenious work he has single-handedly designed what is called, "The Venus Project," which is working towards the future. There is a 52-minute documentary to introduce the aims and proposals to new people, which can be viewed by the readers by logging on to www.thevenusproject.com

The Venus Project documentary details the following:

• The root causes of the systemic value disorders and detrimental symptoms caused by our current established system. This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, which is updated to present-day knowledge, featuring the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy.

• The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world's people. It is not based on the opinions of the political and financial elite or on illusionary so-called democracies, but on maintaining a dynamic equilibrium with the planet that could ultimately provide abundance for all people.

According to Barack Obama, "What we need is a smart system of infrastructure equal to the needs of the 21st century." The Venus Project was developed as a solution to Scarcity based systems that only work for a few and not the majority. It is a system designed to end all archaic systems and forms of government that threaten to treat people as though they were less than human. All forms of government throughout our human history have used people as resources, i.e. Human Resources, in order to best run their systems of government, which always placed the majority in a slavery position.

In the book of Genesis, Moses tried hard to explain the problems that the children of Israel would incur if they did not learn to be a wondering people as God intended them to be. They were to show the world the system God had planned for all, which dealt with a similar way of living except without the high tech glamor of this project. We were all supposed to live without government and under one law, a humanistic law; the ten commandments, which was formed in order to keep us from hurting each other. The children of Israel were supposed to go throughout the world living simply as God had intended. But they wanted to live like other societies with a ruler, etc. The choice they made way back then, is the same choice we are making today.

Provided we have been given a choice to live more humanly amongst each other. To live within the paradigm of the Venus Project, would mean that humans would no longer be looked at as though they were cattle, slaves, barter, etc. The developers of the project seem to be honestly looking at this project as a source of, "Real change and a better future for all of humanity." This re-organization that is being proposed is interesting and idealistic at best. However, the question continues to loom over us like a dark cloud, how would we even begin to create such a system without a major amount of "fall out" and war coming from those who exist at the upper echelons of our current world systems. Just imagine for a moment the utter chaos and panic, which would ensue. Many people will be killed in the battle or crushed under the shear weight of trying to bump up against the system.

This Examiner is just looking at this as an interested observer, and would like to know how this could possibly be done without having a grand-scale killing spree so large that the death toll would no doubt be greater than the deaths counted when Mohandas Gandhi fought to alleviate English rule from India. There would be so many dead that it might take years just to clean it all up. However, if this system is finally decided by all, then the most appropriate response that is left for this Examiner to do is leave the readers with some powerful words of comfort from the great Mohandas Gandhi himself. It is suggested that the reader memorizes each quote as you will need them to comfort yourself during the great struggle for which all will no doubt incur, in this just world cause for what this Examiner would like to term as the Final Solution for mankind.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”

“The future depends on what you do today.”

“First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win.”

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

“I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.”

“You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.”

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”

“Let the first act of every morning be to make the following resolve for the day:
- I shall not fear anyone on Earth.
- I shall fear only God.
- I shall not bear ill will toward anyone.
- I shall not submit to injustice from anyone.
- I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering.”

“To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.”

“Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.”

“Truth never damages a cause that is just.”

“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."

“You may never know what results come of your actions, but if you do nothing, there will be no results.”

“Action expresses priorities.”

“Love is the strongest force the world possesses and yet it is the humblest imaginable.”

“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.”

“I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings.”

NOTE: No matter what actually takes place regarding this massive action plan, this Examiner can only look at it as a wonderful dream and something nice to look forward to which, can help us keep our sanity as we continue life on this planet in it's present reality.
