Jack Taylor (Iain Glen) is a former Garda. His actions and his love of drinking was what cost him his job. One day he assaulted a politician during a traffic stop. His drinking was notorious and when it came out many were not surprised and many of his colleagues of the Irish Guards turned their backs on him.

Taylor needed to work so he becomes a private detective and with the help of probably his last friend from the Guards, Kate Noonan (Nora-Jane Noone), tackle jobs that one keep Taylor going and also helps him feel as if he still is doing some good.

Kate and Taylor are able to exchange info but Kate has to remember she still works for the Guard. Taylor does have a young assistant by the name of Cody (Killian Scott) who does keep things moving smoothly.

Set 2 of the series consists of three different stories the first is called "The Dramatists". Jack is still trying to cope with his mothers stroke. He is sober now and is still a pain in the ass. This case deals with a person who is killing college students but dresses them up to look like characters in a play.

Now the second story is called "The Priest". This case is about a priest who has been molesting boys. He returns to Galway and is killed. The assumption is the killer is one of the priests victims. The last story is called "Shot Down". This story has Jack traveling and he runs into a gypsy colony. A young girl asks Taylor to help find the person who killed her mother.

Acorn is bringing 'Jack Taylor, Set 2' to us in the finest DVD form. Once again you get the highest quality in sight and sound on the DVD. Acorn always brings us the best in British TV. Those wonderful stories of intrigue and mystery. So don't waste any time and head out to your local DVD outlet and pick this one up for your library. Iain Glen is great as Jack Taylor. Nora-Jane Noone is great as Garda Kate Noonan and Killian Scott does a wonderful job as Cody. Enjoy the finest of quality from Acorn entertainment.
