A fairly new addition to the growing number of Kernersville restaurants is J. Peppers located downtown. Since moving to Winston-Salem last year, I am not able to get over to Kernersville as much as I used to. So upon hearing about this Southern Style Grill, I decided to venture on over and check it out for myself.
Upon arrival at J. Pepper's, you receive a very friendly greeting and you instantly feel at home. The overall feel and layout of the restaurant is quite different from others located in the city. I would have to say that it possesses a somewhat elegant feel and look. The bar is what I would call seemingly different as well. You can order a wide variety of beer by different breweries as well as some of North Carolina's best wines. The staff is dedicated to assuring complete satisfaction to every single customer. To me, this means a lot as you just don't find this kind of service anymore. They also have an outside patio equipped with a nice fireplace and they also offer live music from time to time as well.
Now, let's get right down to it! The menu, is by far the best selection of foods I have found in Kernersville. There is no doubt that they are very passionate about their food. Entree's such as: Pesto Grilled Chicken Breast w/Goat Cheese and Pan Seared Crab Cakes w/Spicy Mustard Dipping Sauce are just two of the items available on the loaded menu. No matter what you may have a craving for, their vast menu options should please everyone.
J. Pepper's owners, John & Julie Jones, have spared no expense. They have said that "their goal is to be a strong community partner" and they have far exceeded this by providing excellent food along with true southern hospitality. What better way to unite a community than with excellent food?
J. Pepper's Hours of Operation:

Driving Directions:
As somewhat of a Food Critic, I often search high and low for a restaurant that exceeds my expectations and I rarely find one. But, J. Pepper's is an all-around exception. Their passion, dedicated staff and delicious food really stunned me. The atmosphere and at-home feel they provide is clearly a cut above the normal places to eat in Kernersville. I highly recommend that you give them a try. First impressions are everything in the restaurant business and I for one, am very impressed. I look forward to my next visit as I am sure you will be.
