iTunes' single of the week, "Bleeding Out" by The Lone Bellow

The Lone Bellow is a trio that calls their particular genre of alternative rock "Brooklyn country music". The group released their first album, The Lone Bellow, just today—and currently, the album's lead single, Bleeding Out, is the free iTunes single of the week.

The song opens up light and with little more than the strumming of a guitar and pleasant vocals, but after the chorus kicks in half of a minute into the song, the track picks up pace. It quickly becomes a fun, if not particularly amazing, alternative rock track that indeed has an interesting tinge of country music in it. The vocals are strong, the song is catchy and the lyrics are nice. It's even got a little "da da da" section in the chorus to make sure you're singing it to yourself afterwards.

This album is The Lone Bellow's first release and there's not much information to be found on them, so look forward to hearing more about them in the future. While you're at it, head over to iTunes and download the single. It won't change your life, but it's a good track and, best of all, it's free!

What did you think of the track? Were you a fan before it was cool to know who they were? You can check out their album here. Don't forget to comment with your thoughts and maybe share this if you enjoyed it!
