It's a Jockey V-neck and crew review (Photos)

Now that we’re moisturized, deodorized, and wearing socks and underwear, it is time for the next article of clothing. That next item is, of course, the undershirt. Today’s undershirts are brought to you by Jockey, and this review shall cover two: The Slim Fit Cotton Crew and the Slim Fit Cotton V-Neck.

Since these two shirts are essentially the same, it seems only prudent to include them in one review. Other than color and neck configuration these two shirts are identical. In a recent review of Jockey’s new Slim Fit Cotton Stretch Boxer Brief, I shared the pleasantly surprising discovery that the term slim fit, at least as far as Jockey is concerned, has more to do with the garment rather than he who wears it. Think of it as a paring down, a rejection of the superfluous, if you will. As with their Slim Fit Boxer Briefs, the Slim Fit Cotton T-shirts fit snugly and they should hug the contours of your manly physique.

These 100% cotton tag-free T-shirts are light and thin, just like a base-layer ought to be. These shirts never feel bulky, tuck in comfortably, and never bunch up as you slip layers over them. Best of all, the flat seam construction found pretty much throughout the garment, provides a fit that is both smooth and comfortable.

If you want some no-nonsense, nice-fitting, better than average multipack undershirts, the Slim Fit Cotton Crew (Style #8405) and V-neck (Style #8406) from Jockey are excellent choices. Since this is Jockey we’re talking about, you can get them in just about any big box retail store. However, if you’d rather shop for undershirts while wearing nothing but your underwear, you might want to consider visiting the Jockey website.

**Full disclosure: These undershirts were provided at no cost for the purposes of testing/reviewing, to think otherwise would be unrealistic.
