Entrepreneurship has always been an important alternative to a traditional career. Today, with the popularity of the hit TV show “Shark Tank,” and the success of a young generation of technology entrepreneurs such as Mark Zackerburg, founder of Facebook, the popularity of entrepreneurship is on the rise. College students and retired individuals are increasingly interested in the entrepreneur option. Another factor is the insecurity of traditional careers. There is a growing legion of involuntary entrepreneurs. These are individuals who have been downsized from lucrative and stable careers and after frustrating exhaustive job searches decide to sink or swim through self-employment. More people will sink than swim but enrolling in a good entrepreneurship program will facilitate entrepreneur success.
