Released on May 16, Dark Model's self-titled album offers up an electronic sound like no other. The symphonic experience is one of a kind as Dark Model provides listeners with an orchestral theme on 16 cuts.
The first, "Dance of Wrath (Ikari No Mai)" sets the tone for the album - emotional and passionate dance music that engenders sonic imagery and cinematic components. "Fate" walks into the speakers with a distinctive, yet cutting upbeat audio vibe similar to that of Kraftwerk, while "Onibi (Demon Fire)" is centered on impacting the listener with a futuristic impression. It is one of the album's best songs capturing the haunting elements of Dark Model's overall sound while maintaining the fascination of EDM.
On "Double Cross," Dark Model unveils its diverse range of musical creativity with an edgy and enormously inviting and compelling electronic opus, while it is clear from the moment "I Will Return" starts that Dark Model is setting the scene for what EDM will look like not only in 2014, but in general. The tinge of melancholy blends perfectly with the enormous orchestral waters that Dark Model immerses themselves in.
Dark Model is the result of awarding winning music producer Tatsuya Oe, also known as DJ Captain Funk. A native of Japan, Oe launched Dark Model in 2012 and has since found the music being used in commercials, film promos and trailers. One listen to Dark Model and you'll understand why the band is in high demand.
