Valholla Forever [EP]

If you thought 2013 was a big year for Valholla, be prepared to be blown away in 2014 by this roster’s talent and influence. The first piece of proof? Their top of the year drop, Valholla Forever [EP]. A compilation of tracks from the crew’s label signees and managed artists, this is a perfect sampling for anyone unfamiliar with the brand, and an appropriate display of what Valholla has to offer. Jumping off with a flawless track performed and produced by the self-proclaimed “Haitian Hippie” Vegas Fontaine, the EP continues into the 2013 smash hit “Iz U Wit It,” performed by the crew’s resident songstress Kirby Maurier, which received major acclaim and club spins upon its' 4th quarter debut. Macknifi$ent & Don Rodgers are up next with the laid back groove of “OG Told Me,” followed by the EP’s second Fontaine track, “Satisfaction,” a definite club worthy hit, and last but definitely not least, the Lamar Jones & Nove assisted Ramzez track, “The World,” a catchy number equipped with an uplifting message, reminding us all that the “the world is yours,” if you just go out and take it. The perfect ending for a crew who’s well on their way to taking over the world.
