'I Saw the Devil' movie review

In this Korean film, Kim Soo-hyeon''s wife is killed by a serial killer and the two men go to war.

This is the synopsis in a nutshell. This film is as bloody as I've seen in a while. It's good vs evil, and pretty soon the lines blurr with both men being pretty bad. The thing is the good, Soo-hyeon, is a police officer who has pretty much 'lost it' and goes after serial killer Kyung-cul with everything he's got.

What is interesting for 45 minutes or so is that this serial killer just won't die. He has to be related to a few boogymen that were brought to the screen in the 70s and 80s. To make things more annoying, the cop soon gains the ability of not being able to die also.

You would not believe the things these two guys do to each other. Shooting, burning, car crashes, stabbing, and they just get up and go.

In the meantime, Kyung-Chul is still taking girls via 'blitz attacks'. He holds them until he has the chance to sexually violate them and then dismember their whole body.

I would love to tell you about some redeeming qualities, but I can't thing of any.

You can watch this film by streaming on Netflix.
