The HP 2000-2d29dx laptop features a 2.4GHz 3rd generation Intel Core i3-3110M Processor with 3MB L3 Cache. The computer with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM in 1 DIMM. The laptop is able to hold 2 DIMM ram chips for a total of 8GB ram. The graphics card is an Intel HD 4000 card with up to 1696MB of total graphics memory. The laptop hard drive has 750GB of memory with 5400RPM. The DVD drive includes a SuperMulti burner.

The laptop display is 15.5" diagonally (1366 x 768) with BrightView LED-backlit display.

There is a 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN RJ-45 connector. There is also a wireless card for wireless connection to 802.11b/g/n networks.

The laptop includes dual Altec Lansing speakers, a full-size keyboard, and a pointing touchpad which supports multi-gestures. A multi-format digital media card reader is also built into the laptop for Secure Digital card reading.

The laptop also has 3 universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA (15 pin) port, 1 headphone out jack, 1 microphone in with a front facing HP True Vision HD webcam.

The HP 2000-2d29dx 15.6" laptop weights 5.39 lb and includes a 6-cell 47WHr 2.2 Ah lithium-ion battery and a 65W AC power adapter.
