Manga Review

“Alice in the Country of Hearts: The Mad Hatter’s Late Night Tea Party” is a manga based on the visual novel by Quin Rose. Alice has just arrived in the Country of Hearts after being tricked by Peter White. She settles in with the Hatter family, a notorious group of mobsters. She develops feelings for Blood Dupre, who just happens to look exactly like an old crush of hers. When she sees him with Vivaldi, her heart is torn. Will she be able to confess her feelings?

It’s pretty odd that somebody would want to do yet another manga retelling of the Mad Hatter story, considering that it was already told in the six volume “Alice in the Country of Hearts”. That being said, the story is a little better thanks in part to the fact that the Mad Hatter treats Alice better. Honolulu Quin Rose fans should at least give it a look.
