Holly's manga review: 'Same Cell Organism'

“Same Cell Organism” is a yaoi anthology by Sumomo Yameka. The title story deals with Yokota and Nakagawa; two people who couldn’t be more different. Yet deep down, they may be more alike than they think. ‘To Make an Angel’ tells the story of an angel who decides to go to Earth to live with a person he met when they were a child. ‘We Selfish Two’ deals with a romance between a college and high school student.

The concepts behind the stories are pretty good; the only problem is that the author doesn’t take the time to really go into much depth with them. ‘To Make an Angel’ would have made a really good long running series. The artwork is pretty good, although the main characters of ‘Same Cell Organism’ are kind of hard to tell apart. This is a decent manga for Honolulu yaoi fans to read on a rainy day.
