“Dost Thou Know?” is a yaoi manga by Satoru Ishihara. Katsuomi and Tsurugi are fierce rivals in Kendo. However, their rivalry becomes complicated when they fall in love with each other. Their desire is intense, but they both fear that indulging in their mutual passion will destroy their pride as Kendo masters and give one of them the upper hand. Things get worse when Tsurugi’s young brother falls in love with Katsuomi.
The love triangle seems pretty unnecessary as the main couple’s conflict is strong enough to stand on its own. It could have been interesting to see them reconfigure their professional relationship in regards to their feelings for each other. It would also have been cool to see more Kendo scenes as there aren’t very many yaoi sports series. The artwork is a bit stereotypically pretty, but it’s well done and clean. Honolulu yaoi fans may enjoy “Dost Thou Know?”
