Holly's manga review: 'Baseball Heaven'

See also

“Baseball Heaven” is a sports manga by Ellie Mamahara. A struggling older baseball player named Ogato has feelings for the star rookie pitcher of the Tokyo Elephants, Eiji Uno. Uno acts cold towards Ogato, but one day he gets drunk and confesses his feelings. However, Ogato will only let him act out those feelings if he pitches a perfect game. But that’s not an easy thing for a star rookie to accomplish. Can Uno achieve this goal in order to consummate his relationship with Ogato?

It’s an enjoyable story, although some readers may wish that the main couple would stop beating around the bush and consummate their relationship. It would also have been cool if the writer did a story focusing on the mascots. Especially if the mascots are from two rival teams. The artwork is clean and nice. Honolulu yaoi fans may find this sports manga to be interesting.
