Holly's manga review: 'Alice in the Country of Hearts: My Frantic Rabbit'

“Alice in the Country of Hearts: My Frantic Rabbit” is a manga based on the visual novel by Quin Rose. Alice Liddell is living in the Hatter Mansion, where she’s getting used to the fact that her host, Blood Durpe, is the head of the Mafia. Things get much more complicated when his most loyal follower, the March Hare, starts to fall in love with Alice. Will she gather the courage to leave Wonderland or will she stay with the March Hare?

The March Hare, Elliot is one of Alice’s better potential love interest because while he’s not a saint, he at least tires to meet Alice halfway on things. Although he does have a latent suicidal streak that the manga should have addressed better. The story also should have been given a few more volumes to flesh out the romance between them. The artwork is a bit messy, but still well done. Honolulu Quin Rose fans should give this manga a look.
