“Alcohol, Shirt and Kiss” is a yaoi manga by Yuko Kuwabara. Police Detective Naruse has just been dumped by his fiancée. So he decides to drown his sorrows in booze. His partner, Kita, accompanies him, listens to his woes and makes sure that Naruse gets safely home. However, things get complicated when he wakes up in his bed naked with Kita lying next to him. To make matters worse, their co-workers find out. Will something good come out from all of this craziness?

This focuses more on romance than action, so people looking for a yaoi like the excellent “FAKE” will be disappointed. The artwork is pretty good and the story is okay. The idea that their teammates are fine with what they do is great, but it’s a shame that the author didn’t amp up the drama of being open-mined in a profession that doesn’t always reward it. It’s a decent yaoi for Honolulu manga fans.
