Holly's anime review: 'Over the Rainbow'

“Over the Rainbow” is a romantic thriller by Keiko Honda. Arou and Keita are two lawyers who meet an amnesiac woman named Key. They decide to help her get her memories back. She becomes their very first staff member and helps them out on their cases. Things get complicated when she falls in love with Arou just when she gets her memories back. Will they get their happy ending?

This is a pretty good series that effectively mixes both romantic and thriller aspects. It’s a big shame that the author didn’t turn this into a multi-volume series. Especially since Key’s amnesia could have been explored with greater depth and pathos. Still, the main characters at least manage to earn some well-deserved happiness. Despite the missed potential, the plots are well done and the artwork is clean and pretty. Honolulu manga fans looking for a good romantic thriller should buy “Over the Rainbow”.
