“Chaos;Head” is a sci-fi series based on the visual novel by Nitro+. Nishijou Kakumi is a borderline recluse who spends most of his time playing Empire Sweeper Online and watching anime. Everything changes when he finds a young girl nailing a body with cross shaped stakes. He soon sets involve with the New Generation murders and the Gigalomaniacs, who can manipulate delusions and wield Di-Swords. Can he find the truth within the delusions?

While some of the science will fly over some of the viewers’ heads, this is still an enjoyable series. It seems pretty odd that “Chaos;Head” is half the episode length of “Steins;Gate” and “Robotics;Notes”. Especially since the story could have been fleshed out a little more with a few more episodes. Still, the story is well done and interesting. The Di-Swords are awesome and the ability to use delusions is cool. Honolulu anime fans should give “Chaos;Head” a look.
