While the glitz and glamour of those downtown restaurants can help bring customers in, the only way to maintain a restaurants' popularity is by having high quality food. Located just outside of the city, in the Wheaton neighborhood, Mai Thai Cafe doesn't quite adhere to the high standards set forth by restaurants featuring state-of-the-art appliances and decor. However, what they do have is the authentic Thai cooking tools that churn out high quality Thai cuisine.

Mai Thai Cafe
140 North Main. St.
Wheaton, IL 60187
(630) 510-3680

Located on a bit of a busy intersection and with only two parking spaces located in front, making your way inside can be a little tricky. Street parking is available throughout Downtown Wheaton, so Mai Thai Cafe gets its' share of foot traffic. However, if you're lucky enough to be a patron that just so happens to get into one of the coveted parking spaces, you will be pleasantly surprised whilst your eating your meal. With limited seating once inside, the atmosphere is very quaint, in a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant kind of way.

There is a large combination of vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes and a more authentic take on the classic Thai appetizers. Make sure to check out the spring rolls and pot stickers before indulging in all your favorite Thai dishes. Whether you're looking for the classic Pad Thai or the Pineapple Fried Rice, Mai Thai Cafe is a spot worth checking out if you're looking for great food in an unassuming atmosphere.
