The Suspect follows a North Korean field agent who is abandoned during a mission and his wife and daughters are murdered. Now on the run, torn between grief and vengeance, he takes a job as a night driver for the CEO of a powerful corporation. The chairman is brutally assassinated, but gives him a pair of glasses before he dies. Now, he's his running continues accused of murder, wanted for treason, and desperate to uncover the volatile national secrets hidden inside the glasses. This is one of those films that showcases tons of twists and turns with action so out there you have to just let it happen to have fun. For part of the film it is a bit all over the place, but once it finds its footing ended up being really good. The story isn’t anything all that new to the genre, but the way they laid it out and executed it made it feel like something fresh. This film is filled with a wide variety of action from hand to hand fight sequences, shoot outs, and an explosively awesome car chase scene. Where the film lacks at times with the story they make up for it with the action that elevates this film to the next level. It’s not overly graphic, but instead fast paced and gritty keeping it moving ahead to give it a more real look and feel. With all the twists and hardcore action you don’t really expect as much of an emotional punch this film has at times which in turn takes it in some unexpected directions.

The sole driving force to the entire movie makes the lead character all the more interesting with a lot more depth than the usual action star. There is real pain and struggle here and you feel it in his actions and see it in his eyes. This is a great addition to the action thriller genre and one you should check out.
