Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme cereal

Anyone who has been on a diet has tried the tricks. Brush your teeth to avoid eating anything. Don't eat too late at night. Snack on a piece of fruit or nuts instead. Go to sleep and ignore the food cravings. Stay away from computers and televisions while eating. While all of these are effective ways to avoid overkill on junk food, sometimes the sweet tooth won't leave. And that's where finding the right foods to suffice a sweet tooth come in.

Hershey's is to the rescue with their Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme cereal.

Initially the sight of this cereal may raise eyebrows. There are enough sugary cereals in the grocery aisles. But this Hershey's cereal has a few advantages. Here are the top five.

5. Weight Watchers points: Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme cereal calculates less WW points than its counterparts. A serving of snack-sized bars (3 bars) are five points. The regular 1.55 oz bars are six points. The king-sized bars are 11 points. A serving of this cereal (3/4 cup) is three points.

4. General Mills cereal comparison: Other cereals that are marketed as healthier, such as Honey Nut Cheerios and Multigrain Cheerios are also three points. However, the other two do have more protein and dietary fiber included.

3. Chocolate taste: Cereal just can't match the taste of real chocolate in most cases, and artificial flavoring usually makes the taste even more unrealistic. In the case of this cereal, it's as appealing as the real candy bars.

2. Hershey's candy comparison: One bowl of this cereal with a serving of Silk almond soy or Silk soy milk (2 points) is still less WW points than a serving of Hershey's Kisses (9 Kisses, 6 points); a Hershey's milk chocolate bar with almonds (1.45 oz, 6 points) or a serving of Hershey's milk chocolate nuggets (4 nuggets, 6 points). Even Hershey's special dark chocolate with almonds bars (1.45 oz, 6 points) is less healthy than the cereal.

1. Whole grain cereal: At least 14 grams of whole grain are included in each serving.
